Dry Mix:
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
Wet Mix:
- 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk and 1 Tbsp vinegar)
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup melted shortening (butter or lard)
Directions:
Combine Dry Mix. Combine wet Mix. Then add them together. Let rest for several hours. Preheat oven between 350-375 degrees F. Roll out and cut dough. Cook for 8-10 minutes and dust with sugar.
