- vinaigrette
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/5 c rice wine vinegar
- 1 t black pepper
- 1/2 c oil
- greens
- mixed lettuce
- bitter greens
- 1/4 c green onions, cut
- 12 strawberries sliced
- pecan topping
- 2 T butter
- 2 T sugar
- 1/2 c whole or chopped pecans
To prepare pecans, preheat oven to 400 degrees. melt butter and sugar over low heat. Toss pecans in mixture and spread out on cookie sheet. Roast in oven for 8-10 minutes. Watch carefully and remove when sugar has caramelized, but not burned!
For vinaigrette, heat sugar and rice wine vinegar over low heat. Remove from stove. Add black pepper and oil.
Toss together.
