- Whole Chicken or chicken pieces
- 1-2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 slices of ginger
- Sauce
- 2-5 T green onions, minced
- 1 finger ginger, minced
- 1/2-1 t salt
- pepper to taste
- 1/3-1/2 cup oil
Place chicken in pot with enough water to cover 3/4 of it. Add garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil, then simmer at the lowest possible temperature (but must be simmering). A whole chicken would normally take 1/2 hour and two chicken breasts may take around 15 minutes. When finished removed meat from bone, cut into bite-sized pieces and arrange on a serving platter.
To make the sauce, combine green onions, ginger, salt and alot of pepper. Heat oil to smoking and poor over ingredients.
Serve over rice.
