Sherried Tomatoes

Ingredients: (multiply ingredients by # of tomatoes)
  • Fresh tomato
  • 1 T sherry
  • 1/8 t dill weed
  • 1/8 or 2 dashes of black pepper
  • 1 T mayonnaise
  • 1 T finely grated cheddar cheese
Directions;
Remove core from each tomato and slice in half. Place cut side up on cookie sheet. Pierce each tomato several times with fork. Sprinkle each half with sherry, dill, pepper. Broil for 2-3 minutes. Just before serving, top each half with a mixture of mayonnaise and cheese. Broil for 2-3 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned.
